I have been up in the BRMB traffic plane taking off from Birmingham International early in the morning and I know what that feels like :-)
Can't see the tow-rope from this angle..
Reminds of when I was on work experience (fnar fnar) at Manx Airlines.. I got a jolly to Heathrow in the jump-seat - between the pilots in the cockpit.. that was awesome - sideslipping down onto the runway.... on the way back we had to wait in a queue to use the runway. We had a 747 in front of us - we were in a BAe ATP - we coulda driven straight underneath the thing it was that big....
Interesting fact - a 747 pilot is still 70-80 feet off the ground when the main wheels touch down
