I keep coming back to GRAW

I can't help it...it's just so damn good and just hard enough to make me try harder.

The graphics are nothing short of exceptional (X1900 512 mb GDDR) and I'm making progress, getting more strategic and still dying some horrible deaths

But it is SO good. ANd other than a long load time, it's quite easy to pick up and play for half and hour and try to move to the next checkpoint.

I'm really suprised that it's held me for this long, but it's bloody good

ArmA is just so hard! GRAW got bundled with my replacement graphics card so I may give that a play later... I just find myself dying lots and lots in ArmA

GRAW 2 is mucho cheap pre-order on Play, £17.99.

I might buy a gamepad & try ArmA again. Like Vietnam I can't get over not being able to jump

Is it worth playing this, or should I just wait for GRAW2?

I need some new games... I only play BF2142

Any other good games worth a bash?

If it only it didn't take so long to load, even on a fast Pc with a raptor you need a good book, while you wait to get started. I dont mind dying constantly, but not if I have to wait 5mins to try again. Apart from that stonking game.

    Question Stuck on STALKER

Just completed GRAW and really enjoyed it, also liked Prey and the Total War series.

Moved on to STALKER while waiting for GRAW2, not as accessable as GRAW and I find the character controls slightly clumsy and the inventory /map / communication could all do with improvement. The game is absorbing through.

I have not been playing STALKER long and I am having difficulty finding the access route to the Dark Valley (kill Strelock mission) - can anyone point me in the right direction?

Have tried the tunnel by the bandit camp (blocked), the rail tunnel using anti-rad (blocked by debris) and cannot find a route accross the garbage. I am currently at the feedom base - if this helps!?

I get the feeling I am missing something really basic!!!

    Thanks all.

I also have been playing this game for a quite a long time now. It's so hard I already gave up a couple of times before but always returned to it because simply no other games out there give me the same level of excitement and accomplishment as this one. Enemy placing seems so evil I always killed by a last enemy before checkpoint and throw my mouse away.lol Apart from some minor programming glitch (script error and such)I really enjoy playing this game now. I'm at checkpoint4 in "Fierce Resistance" so finally, I think end is coming near. Will get my hands on GRAW2 as soon as I finish this one.

You can try edge smoothing in the graphic option but it also makes texture blurry so I don't really recommend it.

GRAW is one that keeps me coming back to it, it's a recent thing as I first played it only a few months ago. I've had a couple of tries on GRAW2 on a mate's PC and that was okay, though not quite as 'grab me' as GRAW so far... I'll probably get a copy anyway and I like the fact you can now jump on support guns.
