How do you guys keep up with all the different alliances going around?

I find it hard to believe that everyone updates one website with what there doing. Or is it just the Territorial Alliance Map?

Personally we only keep tabs on nearby alliances. Purely because A) They could be useful B) They could destroy us. This amounts to ev0ke(not so much anymore) and tri, who we chat to in local but have no particular business with.

Then there's SPQR who control some of the 0.0 just behind EC- but have no real interest in EC- itself as far as I know. We're blue to them and have an open offer to join any time. Our CEO and the CEO of one of their larger corps used to mine together back when they were newbs.

Eve Tribune #15, Year 3 (works in game btw)is good for keeping up with other wars/developments. Though this weeks issue was rather light You can usually find me reading that while camping or grinding out missions.

    Re: EVE-Online

Hummm.....just got a storyline episode (the ones you get every 16 missions or so) and have to deliver some goods....in low sec

2 jumps in low sec then a dock (0.1 none the less)....what to to

Oh and its 15 units of giant sealed containers....meaning more than one journey.

I assume that even if I stick to the gates and warp directly to the other gates / station I am still fair game for attack? Will the turrets at the gates/stations help me in this case if I did?

Good mission rewards though (about 1.2M)

I'd skip it tbh, so long as you haven't spoken to the agent and accepted it you wont take any penalty. Compare the reward to the cost of your ship

I only run those ones when it's something small enough to fit in a shuttle.

Thought that would be the case. Can make that money out of a normal mission, just with a bit more time

Cheers mate - and for crying out loud, do you ever sleep or just refresh this thread?

So, someone with a personal grudge hacked a members corporation account last night and trashed our manufacturing headquarters of most of the stuff in there.

If they hacked his account he can petition it and get it reversed, if he just gained trust and trashed it that way you're boned.

The guy seems to think it's a keylogger on his PC that has been installed by the hacker (he appeared to have direct access to the PC at one point ...)
Not 100% sure at the minute as he's kind of in shock and not saying much (other than "sorry" abotu every 5 mins). He's a really nice guy too and a good player but if we don't get our stuff back through petition then God only knows what will happen to the corp.

I did quite a few times during the trial, but then I hadn't exactly invested months into anything either.

If it was a keylogger then he'll almost certainly get his stuff back, happens quite often as isk sellers use them to empty out peoples accounts. He can create a petition out of game here https://support.eve-online.com/Pages...ePetition.aspx

Might be avisable to invest in a good AV and firewall to

    Re: EVE-Online

Thanks for the info chuckskull - I hope you are right. A GM apparently got him his account back just before midnight last night but we're still awaiting the outcome of his petition ..... crossing fingers & everything else!

I have a suspicion that he'll be looking at his AV & firewall right now

It did remind me that I've not re-installed my firewall yet after jumping on to the Vista 64bit wagon though ... perhaps I really ought to sort that out as well .... </blush>

    Re: EVE-Online

Long annoying and depressing story which, in a nutshell, ended up being a large corporate theft/fraud. Basically the guys account wasn't hacked, he simply left clutching several billions of our stuff.

So much for him being a nice guy .....
