I didn't, we got bored and started throwing ammo at each other in the name of tank testing

Grinding out a lot of missions. Then bought it on contracts for 400mil. I highly recommend getting used to the stock raven first though, because as tough as the CNR is, it'll still die when you drop the ball I can testify to this(2billon isk of CNR and faction fittings went boom in an L4 because I wasn't paying attention).

You can get CNR's from the LP store, BUT they work out more expensive than just buying one from the contract pages, because of the macros/isk-farmers.

    CONCORD BUREAU STATION UNDER ATTACK

Yulai – *** This is a breaking news story *** The Minmatar-Thukker armada has opened fire on CONCORD Bureau Station and on the Directive Enforcement Division ships defending it. The station is reportedly taking heavy damage from dozens of dreadnoughts as smaller escorts engage CONCORD warships directly. Eyewitnesses were reporting "massive" casualties on both sides before their transmissions were jammed at the source. This is a breaking news story that we will continue to update as more information becomes available.
    Uh oh.

So, what happens to people's stuff that was in there then? I know they changed the station that got hit by the Nyx, so I presume they may well carry this out as well.

    Re: EVE-Online

No idea tbh, I doubt people will actually lose anything though. At the moment their finalising the backstory for the faction war, seeing as it's going live in 12 hours and the last we heard most of the empires were reasonably content apart from the whole nyx thing

If you wanna read the lot Down time news. Looks like it's getting updated every hour or so with more stuff. The Minmatar/Thukker(or mother thukkers as they seem to be known now) fleet is moving into ammatar space now, after deploying a titan to finish off CONCORD. It's actually quite good just wish they'd done it all with more scope style news

You can play with isk, but it takes a lot of grinding at first and a few months of paid subscription before you can build up your character enough to make the money fast enough and still have time to actually 'play'. Luckily I'd hit this point when I ran out of [real]money, otherwise I wouldn't be able to play.

Though I think this patch is going to nerf my very last real cash cow so It'll be a grind for me again.

    Re: EVE-Online

I didn't like the idea of using ISK either to be honest - I made enough during the trial to buy a month, but I just think there are better things to spend the money on (in game) and it wasn't very good value for money in terms of my real life time. Maybe if you got to the point where you were earning so much ISK that the subscription didn't stop you from affording anything else in game it'd be worth it, but I had my idea of a nice kind of character to play and it wasn't one that would just sit around earning dosh.

    Re: EVE-Online

I am going to be using ISK to fund my EvE time when I can get enough together, may as well!

I really hope th macros are cut down though, ore is worth nothing these days. Even as a miner I have now switched to missions to try and get a bit of ISK together.

CONCORD will be back, you'll see
Otherwise who's going to look after high-sec space? The navys?

Where is Goonswarm when you need them? That titan wouldn't have got far
