    Re: EVE-Online

The caldari state militia is kicking all kinds of rear. 3 Red Alliance(huge ruskie capital alliance) carriers stumbled into their path yesterday and were swept aside I should be joining in the steamroll tomorrow.

    Re: EVE-Online

Been at this FW lark all day good fun, lots of kills, mainly BC and cruisers, couple of nice BS though, couple of final blows, just lost my mega to a big nano gang(yay lag) but I think I'm in the black overall

Had a nice big 70man fleet going, FC's on voice, it was a laugh. Romping around the new region a bit.

    Re: EVE-Online

Really would like to try and get back into this again as WoW is becoming a bit stale at the moment for me. However, I can't afford the subs until the end of the month so I started a trial last night but was so tired (on earlies at work) that I didn't get up to much. Wanted to see what the new patch was like, seems quite interesting.

So maybe at the end of the month I might be back and looking for a less militaristic corp (was in Hadean Drive Yards for a bit, was OK but you had to do this and had to do that).

I have now done 47 hours in 7 days

probably about 32 have been AFK though

Worth the last 14 hour stretch over 2 days for that + 20Mil ISK salvage though.

    Odamia Falls Under Caldari Onslaught

And So It Begins - Only days after CONCORD announced the Emergency Militia War Powers Act, the Caldari State have occupied the Gallente Federation system of Odamia in Placid.

The State Protectorate fleet led by Strike Commander Daniel Jackson have been operating in the Placid region for approximately one week, conducting raids on Federal facilities. The force consisted of approximately thirty frigate, destroyer and cruiser class vessels. Jackson was assisted by some very capable fleet members including Wing Commander Naisa who managed fleet logistics. He is quick to point out that he had other very capable commanders throughout this stage of deployment, who kept things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Whilst on maneuvers, intelligence arrived indicating the location of a vulnerable command and control bunker in the system of Odamia. Upon arrival in the system the fleet launched a full assault.

Expecting a high level of resistance it is surprising that of the main Federal militia forces, there were only "two [targets] sitting at 300km from [the bunker]" according to Jackson. Lieutenant Colonel Steve Celeste also noted an "interceptor while [they] were taking the bunker into armor." However Captain Cyracis did point out that he was "organizing the support wing of battlecruisers and battleships" so that they would be ready for any counterattack on their position.

Odamia was the first system to fall in this conflict. It is now time for the Gallente to repond. However for the moment Ensign Cyriel Longinus sums up the general attitude of the fleet:

    "Glory to the State."

.10 till I get my JC now, then im joining the war I think

Although I need to get my ECM and non-missile skills up. Everything I have is in missiles really due to mission running.

    Re: EVE-Online

Now I'm involved with FW I'm confused about a few things:

    1) As I understand it, being in a FW corp means I can be attacked anywhere (inc. High-sec) by the enemy militia?
    2) When plotting a route through several systems, how do I know which sovereignty it comes under?
    3) If I roam into the enemy's sovereignty space (even in high sec), am I going to get owned 'Concordokkened' style by their Navy?
    4) I need to jump 32 gates - how can I make sure the journey is as safe as possible?
    5) I am assuming I can be attacked in missions now too without Concord intervening, even in high sec ?- how likely is this?

    1) It's a war, so yup, with the caveat that the faction navy of friendly empires will attack any enemy hanging around in their space for to long.

    2) You can show the sovereignty each empire hold individually and check that way in the map, but it's simpler to fill you low slots with warp core stabs and just make a run for it. I managed to get though Gallente highsec in a plated megathron(very slow) with no warp core stabs so you should be fine so long as you don't stray into lowsec.

    3) The enemy navies will attack you and hurt quite a lot in higher security systems, but they dont have warp scramblers and aren't much smarter than the average mission rat, they easily avoided by simply warping away and not travelling on autopilot.

    4) Make sure it's in all highsec, cover you ship in warp core stabs and dont go AFK.

    5) Yes you can be, but it requires that the enemy militia spends a lot of time in your space to scan you out etc. Making them easily spotted in local. I personally have local unlinked from the other chats and pinned so I can watch who's coming and going, and glance at it before undocking. Just have a quick look through the list now and again for a red star. Outside of nourv and jita I haven't heard of any concerted pushes into highsec by the militias.

    Hope that helps mate

    Re: EVE-Online

    Sure does - thanks

Im unsure if I should bring my BS up. Currently its in Ammar space at a station with a L3 and L4 agent. Really handy if I wana run a quick mission - can normally do a L3 in under 30 mins, sometimes 20 with decent rewards and pretty much zero risk of losing the ship (tanks well).
I have a JC near the station so getting to / from it isn't a bit issue. My avatar at Ibura currently has no implants for obvious reasons

There are a few Minmatar stations in Ammar space where I am - I'm guessing their turrets will try to shoot at me now, or at least refuse me docking permission?

Nah stations don't get involved I hid out in a gallente station for a while the other day, reading their militia news

Remember that you can only jump clone once every 24 hours so it depends how often you want to run missions.

Well I dont have much choice if I want to play in FW - as you said, its a big ISK sink. As far as I can tell, there is no real way to make money from it?

Not really, there's loot but there's a lot of competition for it. It's more about fun than money making, it was made deliberately unprofitable to keep the farmers out.

    Re: EVE-Online

Went on some lvl 4s with the corp (at about 4:00am!!).... enjoyed them although the agro was painful!! My little incursus can take a beating and my armor repairer II really does do wonders but lvl 4 missions are way over my head!

The light show though...EVE has to be one of the prettiest games out there.

As for the cost of FW.... just take cheap ships and cheap fittings. Thats my plan as soon as I can get a bloody jump cloan thats not in Gallente space!! Have 5 implants..... can't lose them (again)
