The Apocrypha patch is in testing for the next patch with the T3 ships etc although I haven't seen a live date yet.

No, it's not wrong. In fact, it's good. EVE is buzzing at the moment, 40k+ players at the same time most nights, 0.0 going mad especially in BoB's old space (even though I hear they have some back already), our corp is also going pretty well with a nice big industrial POS and lots of belts in the system to rat at, plus we're regularly under war decs and have many roamers around our constellation.

Just need to be able to play more now, damn work, sleep and tooth aches!

In march with the retail release. Along with a new fitting screen(with saveable setups), import/export overview, T3, wormholes, new NPC AI, new scanning system and funky new particle effects.

Snipped ya post a bit, any further information about these? Can't access Eve-O from work, so a copy & paste would be nice if it's not too much bother.

I hope they fix the UI, it has been "broken" in my eyes for a LONG time and is very annoying to have the client moving and resizing my windows even when I try and pin them.

Yeah I hate that bug, they do seem to be polishing all the rough edges for the retail release so here's hoping.

The dev blogs are coming out almost daily at the mo, way to much to c+p, but I'll grab a few snippets for ya. Not to much on Import/Export overview yet(it's just going to be a case of a save and load button really). The new scanning system is on Sisi, but I've not seen a blog a yet.

The new NPC AI is only being rolled out to the sleepers(big bad wormhole dudes) at first, apparently they will attempt to flee, pick smart primaries and switch around if needed, use ewar effectively etc etc and a PVP fit and a gang will be required to beat even a couple of the bigger ones. A few were spawned on sisi against a small group of ravens and by all acounts mullered them. The idea is it's supposed to be more like fighting a player.

Do not underestimate them, as they will remain radically different from the regular pirate factions you are used to. More often than not, they will give you some substiantial bang for your buck and will require player gang coordination and effort to be dispatched. More details are left for another Dev Blog, but at the moment, know they have comparable player attributes and thus require variations of PvP fits to engage.
    New fitting screen.

The statistics panel is arranged into a number of sub-panels describing different aspects of the ship. Each of these panels can be collapsed to conserve space. Since the statistic panel now packs more information than before, it was necessary to condense the information as much as possible to fit the available space. As a result, labels are generally only available on mouse over. While this increases the barrier to entry when learning how to fit a ship for the first time, we also think that the fitting screen is a critically important interface that needs to show all the relevant numbers.

The defense sub-panel is arranged in a matrix: resistance type vs. defense layer (shield/armor/hull). The top-left corner shows the base statistics for the primary repair system: passive shield, active shield, armor or hull. If more than one repair module is fitted, the number of modules is indicated similar to weapons groups. By default the best repair system is shown, but any of the repair systems can be selected from the drop-down box, if further details are needed.

    Saving Fittings

One of the biggest improvements in the fitting screen is that it can now be saved and loaded. This makes it very easy to switch between different fittings for different mission profiles. Fittings are automatically archived by ship class and race, with options for importing and exporting the fitting database. Corporation members with sufficient roles can also store corporation fittings which automatically become available to all the corporation members.

    Re: EVE-Online

Obviously not quite working; that setup uses no PG or CPU apparently! Pity it doesn't show resists when active modules are on (there's no structure resists, but there is a DC fitted in that example). Does look nice though.

Yeah that's a mockup I believe, it is on Sisi if you want a go of it.

I would go on the test server, but I can't be bothered to download the 1Gb patch. That and it seems quite busy and would be probably be laggy as hell.

    Re: EVE-Online

You've always been able to export/import overviews in a way.

There are two files a User_xxxxxxx.dat and char_xxxxxx.dat that contain all the info. Overviews, brackets etc.

It's just a case of coping the files over from your mydocs folder and one of the eve folders.

While they've said that the fitting screen is still under construction I would Love to be able to modify the skins of the ships. Custom paint skins or at least corp logo's over the side of the ship so its visible ingame.
