Not done Berlin in a day but have done Hamburg - trouble is all I saw was the airport as that was were my meeting was with the RAF
Well, if any of you ever get the chance, go to Treptow Park in the East of Berlin. The Soviet war memorial there is awesome, and very moving ~

The granite used in the triangular gate thing was made from the remains of the Reich Chancellery, as was the red marble in the walkways. A deeply ironic resting place for the remains of the nazi regime.
unfortunately wasnt there for pleasure but a trade show am shattered today :( but ill be in the air later..
the pilot on the way back was on his retirement flight having clocked over 18,000 flying hours.... but the funniest bit was the crosswinds coming down the runway were really bad the plane was see-sawing all the way in! i think me and the pilot were thinkng this was definately going to be his last flight... and not because of retirement! still he put us down impecably well i even cheered... lack of sleep, alchol and brushes with death have an affect on mind mind tbh :D

Incidently, Tegel was originally built in a matter of days for the Berlin Airlift. A load of yanks with bulldozers got stuck in and hey presto - one airport.
