    Tabula rasa, Playing and thoughts?

i have been playing this beta for a couple of days now, it seems of the whole to be a decent game and quite fresh, although it holds the same mmo features that every mmorpg has, infact you could even say its wow in a different jacket with a couple new features.
I am having difficulty finding the will to want to play it, and i find that a good mmo will hook you, so has anyone else tried this yet and what do you think?

It crashes for me about 5 minutes into the game so can't get anywhere on it. As soon as the dropship arrives in the starting area just after you blow up the wreckage to get across the bridge. Sound starts looping and the screen goes black.

well, i have not played it yet as my "gaming" laptop is currently in for repair for the 7th time.... and the one i am on now has trouble loading the homepage.

that said... it appears that my my "gaming" laptop barely meets the minimum requirements for it...

i only have one question really, what are the mechs like? and how hard are they to get?

Played it for afew days and wasnt hugly impressed. The clone system was good though, really saved you slogging through the low levels just to play a diff class type. I think it just didnt do much for me. A nice setting but the 'alien language' that gives you magic didnt seem to involve more than taking afew minutes to find a shrine.

Re: Tabula rasa, Playing and thoughts?

For a game thats been in development for so long and had so much funds allocated for it this sounds a bit worrying.

NCSoft need to get back into their A game or they'll have a few problems down the road.

Theres a lot of positive feedback and ppl going to buy it from my wow realm. I would pick up the beta if its still running and give it a shot and who knows you might find some bugs to fix

Played the beta and I wasn't impressed. IMO it sucks. Very simplistic. Too simple IMO.

Re: Tabula rasa, Playing and thoughts?

I thought i found it very bland and boring. Nothing extra special about it at all. Its the same old thing shoot shoot shoot, heal and buff. The lag is huge as well, but you could change to a less populated ones but there are still a lot of things that need to be fixed about the game. While i only played it for 2 weeks and i might be jumping to conclusions. I would play it for free but not worth paying for.

Re: Tabula rasa, Playing and thoughts?

I generally enjoyed played the beta during the time I dedicated to it, lag was a major problem (lots of rubberbanding) and quite alot of random bugs and glitches but hey its a beta and to be expected.

I think I'll pickup the game as its only £17.99 off play and give 30days. If it turn out to be worth it ill continue sub if not I've payed £17.99 for something that kept me entertained for 30days.
