    Bleedin' IL-2 resolution problem

    Right, bleeding game!

Installed on my nice vista machine and I can't get a decent resolution. I have changed the config file, run as admin, installed in a different folder and it won't do 1680x1050!

Any ideas or do I just cry?

The only way of doing higher resolutions is setting it in the cfg file. Have to remember its an old game and dosnt do widescreen or high res to well.

    Re: Bleedin' IL-2 resolution problem

I just run at 1024x768.... Interestingly, I was tinkering with my PC last night to solve an overheating problem, and swapped the video output from the DVI socket (with dongle) to the standard VGA output, and I'm now getting a better framerate and zero artefacts - particularly the map was screwed up on certain zoom levels. But it's much better now (and the PC's nice n cool too).

I need to get in my PC and clean/rewire. At least I have IL-2 running now!

    ATi card?
look into the advanced panel if so and theresa few bits in there that'll help with frame rate and artifacts on DVI..
