In the summer of 1989 Sally B was cast in a leading role for the David Puttnam film "Memphis Belle", a re-telling of the famous wartime documentary by William Wyler.

    I think 3 were involved

    Sally B http://www.deltaweb.co.uk/sallyb/ - was Memphis Belle
Pink Lady http://pink.lady.free.fr/ - was Mother and Country

but I cannot identify the other one, these appear to be the only two European ones flying. I have seen them fly together at a Warbirds display at Wantage and seeing 2 B17s do a "fighter break" over the airfield is breath taking. Got some photos of them doing it somewhere

    Yeah, I watched it too

Neither me or my dad can remember what this other film was, but it was made by Spielburg, and one of the guys in the plain drew the wheels on this picture of the plain (because the landing gear wouldn't come down) and it appeared. Does anyone have any idea what that film was called?

I remember that, it was the guy in the ball turret that drew the pic n when they dragged him out of the ball he was in like a trance, when they slapped him n he snapped out of it the cartoon wheels vanished n the plane drops to the floor...

It was a short story thing on years ago, cant remember the name of it tho....

Yeah I remember that too, came out on TV after the Mephis Belle film. There was a whole series of them, each one done by a different director, all of them a biut 'Twilight Zone'-ish. John Landis did one, as well as John Crapenter and I *think* George Lucas did one too.

Dunno the name of 'em though.
