I've been playing Entropia for about 2 years. The most important decision you have to make when starting is whether you want to deposit money or not. Depositing allows you to buy stuff and allows you to engage in all the 'activities' but it can be very expensive.

Playing the game without depositing can be VERY boring. The only real way of making money is by trading and there are hundreds of people who will be trading alongside you; so the margins are usually pretty thin. I think I calculated once that I was making money at the rate of about $1 an hour while trading.....better to work in McDonalds. But some people enjoy it.
