S!: Dak, TiG, Tumble, Geist, Rias, SirAndrew : Excellent show

Gentlemen and Lady: That was nowt short of bloody superb

Geist, you are a top, top, Top Cover, and I am always so pleased to find you covering my ass , not quite sure if anyone has such good 3d and situational awareness, as you. I never know wjhere you are, and you always know where I am. Amazing.

Tumble, your navigation skills and ground pounding are superb. Some massive scores last night chap AND you lead us straight there.

Dak....oh Dakky....you aint lost it bud, cos that was ownership Amazing kills . Dropping like flies, must be the coffee and lack of vino

Rias and SirAndrew, bloody superb teamwork, good ground pounding, good spotting, good everything . Andrew that was ACE first time (long term online) flying, and Rias..... I know you loved every minute, you never stopped grinning all night

TiG....never has a map been so thoroughly owned as when you go after ships ....

Frankly, that was one of the best flight nights for a very long time.... just SUCH good map ownership

Dak deserves credit for not even complaining when he flew all the way across a map with no rudder...
    Loved it, loved it all
I think it's fair to say, MA_rlins dominated the dog fight servers last night, cos with an objective to achieve, and some half decent planes, we nailed them

And lastly, thanks to Zak Jr for sleeping through it all, and leaving us a full 7 hours clear flying time...... and for sitting in a mess of LAN cables and only unplugging Dak's joystick once before bedtime.

Sounded like a gerat night! Disappointed I missed out.

There may be a slim chance I'll have access to a decent connection next time as well. Although, I haven't played since the last time we went online, so will need to practise my mud moving and bomb skimming.

I can confirm I've just handed zak his seventeenth cup of tea for this morning and he's just starting to look and sound more human like. the random grunts are sounding more like english.

Very cool run last night, the server we were on valued staying alive with the 3 deaths and out policy meant we were all trying our hardest to get home in one piece.

Sadly ground attack was going well but the flakkkkkkkkkkk! always got me after i killed something impressive.

Oh and watching the torpedo hit the ship for sinking from 3 miles out (nearly 2 minutes of water time was something else :-)

Just had a thought... that map we kicked arse on, the wings over europe server... I didn't actually get shot down once... I pancaked my Hurricane on the runway, but didn't actually get shot down (although I did get the crap kicked out of me over the target a bit) first time ever that's happened... and i've been at this for how long now??

Was great being in the air with everyone again although there were a few missing faces.

I'd just like to point out that the smoking wreck in that screen shot is what is left of me...

The mission had gone well, the bombers bombed and the escorts protected them; Dak and I were flying CAP (Combat Air Patrol). After finding a flight of 109s that seemed to keep coming I was still in the air fighting while our bombers had gone home.

Two 109s left, one smoking and making for home and the other in my sights and my guns run dry. After breaking off and making it all back to the airbase I come in for a nice slow landing...

About 5meters off the ground the radio kicks in with Zak yelling "You're gears still up!" Panic ensued as I try and find the damn gauge to confirm... left wheel bounces into the ground and brakes off spinning the plane into the ground and off to the side.

Then the engine caught fire... Jumping out I headed straight over to Zaks perfectly parked Lagg(?).

All this talk of IL-2 makes me want to dust off my Cyborg Evo and 'take to the air' again.

I'll need a hell of a lot of practice though, considering i haven't played in a good 6 months, and i wasn't that good before hand.

Edit: There was a thread aswell! :O
I guess i should hang around Hexus some more.
