    Pirates of the Burning Sea

    Has anybody got this?

It's been ages since I last played an MMO and I was following this game a couple of years back but kinda lost track.

I was a huge fan of Eve back when it 1st came out, played it religiously for about a year and came out of it with a huge reputation and 30 million isk on my head (mwhahahaha). Basicly is it similar to Eve or vastly different?

Re: Pirates of the Burning Sea

Tobeman and I bought it the other day, he doesn't know but I levelled a pirate to 10 in the morning after purchasing it . I thought it was great fun at first, but it seemed to get a bit monotonous after level 5.. but after reading some guides I may not have been playing it "correctly" :s mostly cause all i was doing was travelling around ports doing missions which were very samey (not that WoW's "Go kill 6 bears" wasn't). By the looks of thing PvE is non-existent in the game, PvP is the strong point with pirates and privateers being even more so PvP inclined (something about PvP zones for the two I think). Economy wise I'd say the game is very similar to EVE, completely player controlled and ever expanding.

Not sure if I'll keep playing, one MMO is good enough for me

First off, Henry meet my friend Kevin. Kevin, meet my old work colleague Henry.

How odd we are still chasing this game after all these years, eh?

Haven't quite got the MMO bug with it yet.

Re: Pirates of the Burning Sea

    Hehe, sup guys.

Yeah its more for the ecconomy why I'm interested. Eve's ecconomy was fantastic and I love being a trader more then anything else. Making money in games is where the addictivness is at.

I probably won't actually get it for a another month or so, I've got exams to worry about. If I get it now, bye bye revision.
