LOMAC SimHQ mission

Lovely little mission with a storyline and everything.

Quite difficult, so if youre new to lo-mac i suggest maybe turning down the missle effectiveness slider if you keep getting hit by the missles :D

Only had one try, suffered terrible framerates from the overcast clouds :( Ended up running into a low cloud, only to find there was a mountain hiding behind it :P i got completely lost...and went straight into it :D

Talk about bloody annoying though.

Flew tight to the mountains, real low level stuff - eventually popped up over the target, 1st run I was too low for bomb release, overflew the site and got a good bearing on the SAM site, in particular the radar unit.

2nd Run - low level again, straffing run - bang one dead radar - Sams now useless :D

At this point I find I can't select bombs or rockets, even though I can see them slung under my wings :mad:

So I try to straffe the Shilka parked up at the runway, as usual with little success as a huge plume of smoke erupts from engine 1 :o

Whats my wingman doing all this time ? he's buggered off home without taking so much as a shot :mad:

So I limp home, land and taxi to standstill - result ? Mission failed, even though I had neutralised the SAM threat by knocking its radar unit out :(

I've had another go. My wingman (strangely) played as bait, all the missles went after him and i was left to pump the radar full of rocket (too low for bombs as was skii).
Then he gets shot down (you see how this is going as the story did^^ :P). But then when i tried to get the shilka with the canon he flew me up :( :P

Nice mission altogether thou, if a bit short. It's the journey which i like. Low through the mountain pass, and as you get to the end you can just see the runway with the Kub waiting for you :D
