It does look good, the damage modeling seems pretty good too.
But if there is no in-cockpit view it would bug me (might be omitted from that as they're still working on it though?)
Still really looking foward to the sequel for the PC though, Storm of War Battle of Britain:)

Blatently going to be dubbed down for the console market. I would imagine it will be more along the line of Ace Combat with WW2 planes.
However, does look good, and hope this is the sort of standard we will get on the next PC version. Definately would like the hi-res ground textures; would make navigation soo much easier!

screenshots only , but there is no reason at all why consoles as powerful as current 7th generation models can't run a 7 year old flight sim like IL2, lets not forget there is no bloatware windows and other associated processes having to run in the background, sure some of the controls will be simplified , but with the number of buttons and key combinations on an XBOX joypad available there is no reason why this shouldn't give a very decent sim experience.
Dogfights and co-ops on Xbox live anyone? oh yes ;)

The cockpit views look good, but PSP and DS versions...........what ever the console versions are like PSP and DS versions are gonna be pants. (i even checked the date wasn't april 1st for the previews when i saw that)
This and storm of war though might well be must haves :)
I'll deffo be getting this one :) Any idea when it's due out?

Yes! Cant count the amount of time I've been lost flying along railways or roads trying to figure out if that T junction and bit of forest on the left is the one I'm looking at on the map that leads to the objective. :)Quote:

Haha i was just the other day showing my buddy some screenshots of when I used to play iL2 - and instructing him that that was a real mans game compared to Ace Combat.
And now its coming to Xbox!!! Wooot!!
