Ain't this a conan thread?
I got to about 45 by the end of June. Thought it'd be a nice change from what now has become repetitive in WoW. Unfortunately I just think the game is way to buggy. I also think that melee classes were designed with console users in mind :/ not too mention the whole silly instanced thing which really gets on my nerves when organising parties with randoms for quests or dungeons. The travel system is terrible. To get to someplace like say the Fields of the Dead from Tarantia you goto run for nearly 12 minutes unless you take the quick option and ask someone to kill you or take yourself to the nearest cliff and jump, allowing you to spawn at a closer point near the edge of the zone. I thought this game was meant to be a triumphant epic win and I truly did believe the comments funcom were making about "WoW being mcdonalds and AoC being a nice lean rump steak" but really apart from the sterling graphics and challenging combat system the games nothing different! It's just like LOTRO to be honest but only half of the MMO market can play it (due to it's high spec requirements) and you can have guild cities which don't seem to be that great.
I ain't played since reactivating my account cause I just can't find anything to do. I literally have a couple of quests to do and thats it and being a barbarian I can barely take on quests assigned to my level let alone any of the slightly harder quests. The only PvP I've seen so far is the constant griefing which is set to be combatted by a highly oppressive system constructed by people who have obviously never come across the "ganker" before and want the people playing the character flayed.
As everyone knows the game is also highly flawed and buggy. But funcom are doing a good job I must say to release patches that are indeed fixing these bugs.
Meh, WoW remains the top Fantasy RPG in my opinion even though there's bugger all to do in it at the moment. Perhaps it's time to try EVE again?
