Hi all,

Everyone has their favourite poison.
WoW is probablly classed as the most life-sucking of the current ones, and those people that don't like that style so much all get completely addicted to EVE instead, though the life sucking of EVE is a bit different, in that there will be plenty of times you won't feel like you need to play (due to skill training which continues even if you're logged out) but that's balanced by desperating wanting to play a certain key times instead
Age of Conan is the latest 'big' one, which people seem to be enjoying though it doesn't seem to have the life sucking thing down quite as much as the big two.
something to investigate then, I'll have a look at eve and conan, thanks for the heads up.
Age of conan wasnt great.
A lot of ppl I know who started playing it on release stopped within the first month.
I have started playing wow again. ITs the only MMO since meridian 59 that I have played for a long time![]()
what about guild wars has anyone played that?
Oh yeah, lots. But it's not got any kind of life sucking ability really - it's great to dip in and out of because of the lack of fees.
so many to choose from, it might have to be guild wars and eve for me give them both a whirl see what its all about.
Thanks for the info guys
Yeah I second Guild Wars. Most players now have moved onto eye of the north so some of the areas can be quite barren.
I play Lord of the Rings Online, personally love it and you don't get as many kids playing. There is a great community spirit in the game also. I had to kill some monsters that were 2 levels above me but 2 or 3 hits from them could kill you. There was a high level player nearby and they killed them for me and helped me escape. It was absolutely great, felt really welcome.
Only downside is that some of the earlier areas can be a little quiet, no doubt though a lot of players will come back when the first official expansion Mines of Moria is released later this year. There is still plenty content to get through though, every 2 months or so new content is added for free also.
WArhammer online is out later this yearbut its been cut back loads to meet the release date. Also The designers have said they arent gunning to take over from wow so its a bit worrying now
