    online probs

Guys, just trying to get online for a game of IL-2 or LOMAC (tho I suck at LOMAC), got hyperlobby 3.5 pro and the ventrilo software, is there anything else i need??

Just trying to get my head round everything - not really been able to get into online gaming until now.

    Cheers.

ventrilo willbe nouse unless you are in a group/squad/clan that has a server for you and your pals to use

but Hyperlobby is right.....look for a game, click on it once....see what the settings are......(externals disabled , real engine management etc) see howmany people are on it....and launch it if ya fancy a go...

BUT..if its a first outing in LOMAC or IL2....youmight wanna spend some time in a single player environment to get intoit...IL2 particularly

Okay, shouldn't be a problem then.

Just to check my IL-2 version is 1.2 and the LOMAC is 1.01, these are the most up to date aren't they?? Not FB yet - gonna get my head round the other first!

Most of the online community that used to play IL-2 have moved on to Forgotten Battles. When you get into Hyperlobby you'll see what I mean. There will be nearly 1000 playing FB some nights and less than 20 playing IL-2. So, get you aunty, uncle, girlfriend, boss, pet to buy you FB as an early Christmas pressie as soon as possible and come and join the fun

Oh I'll be getting FB - just riles me a bit having had IL-2 for not too long, but it didn't exactly cost the earth, and I'm definately up for some online funnery!! ...Hmm might just visit Amazon....

The additional single play and multiplay stuff will make it worth it. Plus the extra planes, maps, and the greater realism (complex engine management - trickier handling).

If ya like IL2, you will love Forgotten Battles - the transition is smooth and if you're going to make the step I would suggest you do so quickly. There would be a few of us here that would be more than glad to welcome you in an online game.

Flog IL2 on Ebay for a fiver and pick yourself up a copy of FB for a tenner.

5 quid difference and worth every penny.
