Right, so the planes stalls, starts spinning, and it's as if a whirlpool is sucking it down...how do I recover?

Yep - basically.Originally Posted by Big_Al
1. First and most important thing - let go of the stick
2. Reduce throttle to 0 %
3. opposite rudder to spin - ie if your spinning to the right, rudder left.
4. Once the spinning stops, increase throttle to get the airflow back over the wings.

Thanks guys, will try that! I also saw that the yak is more likely to fall in such a spin than any of the planes on the demo, is it just me or is that a con of the yak?
hehe you obviously haven't flown the Fw190 yetOriginally Posted by pyro

It's a sympton of the demo aswell. The flight models of all the planes have been adpated and developed.. with some more adjustments done to the I16 stall capacity in the latest patch.
View the demo as a demo - decide whether the game is worth the money and get it installed quickly if you do. Otherwise, you will have to unlearn everything you have learnt and start again with some "bad habits" under your belt.
Nope, I haven't! I really want to try that ww1 plane tho...lol
Well I did manage to recover from the spin, but, the plane was too all the time, and right after it stop spining, it would just blow up as it hits the ground!
How much is the game then?
edit: found it at game for £19.99 http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.asp...368&mid=271150
Anything cheaper? I'm a student![]()

Yeah - Skii has it.Originally Posted by Skii
Sometimes it helps to ease the stick forward a little, especially once you have the spin stabalised, as this helps to increase airflow over the wings.
Also, once you get the spin stabalised it's important not to try to pull the plane into a straight and level attitude too quickly, otherwise you'll stall again, and the whole thing will repeat itself.
You'll find some planes behave differently in stall and spin, so you have to get used to them all.
Practice putting yourself into stalls and spins, and practice the recovery. After a while it gets easy![]()
