I hate it, and never use it.
I don't dislike it because it cheap or because it gives easy kills, I dislike it because the perk is over powered. If you look at Last Stand, you only get a chance to use it if you are wounded with enough force that would have normally killed you, just so long as it was not a head shot or with explosives. Why can't Martydom work in the same way?
I mean, how the hell are you going to pull out a grenade from a pocket with your last dying breaths, when you have just had you brains painted across a wall with a .50 cal shell or had your arms blown off by a claymore?
Another reason I hate Martydom is because I only play Hardcore, and it's just :censored: stupid to use it on hardcore, but plenty of people still do :angst: Unfortunately, I don't have the option of playing on a server it's banned on, because I play on the 360. Although I did read a few weeks back that IW are looking into adding 3 more playlists to COD4, Hardcore FFA, TDM without any perks and the other escapes me at the moment.
i play on the 360 also, but haven't played it for a long time. Trash Man is right though, its a proper pain in the ass!
I used to love it, but that was clearly my noob stage in life ;)
I now detest it and it drives me mad when people reply "this is war" even thuogh server rules state it a lot.
I don't like it, but it is part of the game unfortunately so we have to deal with it. I have never used it myself - prefer either Deep Impact or Extreme Conditioning for perk3.
I'm only currently using it to complete the Martyrdom killer challenge, otherwise I usually use Steady Aim. I didn't realise you could get banned for using it until I started using it. Now if we could just get a server that banned bunny hopping automatically...

Its especially annoying when you flashbang a room, run in, take out 3 people, and then have to try and dodge 3 grenades.

I usually do that with cooked grenades.. run up to a building, cook off a nade, aim it at the first floor.. lob it, bounces off the window frame and lands in my face as I run through the door :(

However.. a room full of people+one matyr... you kill the matyr from far off, everyone runs to door... BOOM!!!

its annoying but again pat of the game, i dont hate it more than ppl that rely on mounted grenades...arrr...i think its ridiculous on an ff server tho, plain stupid
