Botters Beware
If your a WoW player then your more than likely to have come across a bot grinding in the same spot, day after day. Normally a Hunter or a Rogue, and normally in a crowded quest area. Well Blizzard must have got really pissed off, as they decided to take one of the bot makers to court, and they won :D $6m in damages. Now that has really got to hurt when he only made $1.5m.
Now this is a great result, not just for WoW but for many other MMO's out there that have these sort of problems. Now they just need to take some sort of action against gold sellers.

Re: Botters Beware
I remember reading the initial judgement back in July I think before they'd decided the figure.
Most important thing is that it verifies the legally binding status of the EULA, as that is what (all) these guys have been found guilty of breaching. The other issue of breaking copyright is yet to be decided.

Re: Botters Beware
Never came across any bots during my play time, but found the wording of the BBC article pretty insightful.
"The Glider software lets Warcraft players automate many of the repetitive steps the game involves."
Shame none of the MMO's I've tried have broken that design.
