The problem is with Vista's built in DRM nonsense - it sees the '46 DVD as dodgy as it doesn't have the correct gubbins to tell Vista that it's genuine on it. What you need to do is find someone with an XP install, install it on that and then copy the folder onto your machine and it'll run.

iirc u can copy the cd to a folder on the pc and install from there, then use your fav game copy site and grab the no cd, infact the official ic10? forum has a link to the no cd exe as its a known issue and they started handing it out.

I sort of crash in a heap about 400m from the runway after getting to about 100ft in the air.
I'm going to get HAWX though for the 360 as I can fly on that

gah. IL2 is broken for me now. Got it installed, and I have had it working, but now it's not loading any maps. idiot thing (and I'not sure it's Vista's doing either)
that's normally a bad patch thing. Used to be when patches were in wrong order. But 1946 only has one update I think.
Sorted it - it was the gfx??? kin weird thing. Reinstall the 9.2's and it's working now...
Oh, and it's 4.09b1m now
