Trig'll get blown out of the sky in about 30 seconds, I havent flown for ages, hence at the LAN I want the flyers upstairs so I can get back into it..
Had a 20 minute blast in the CW Vb the otherday just to test it out but that was it...

Doubt it - yer a tenatious bugger in the Hurricane already, with the Spit its gonna be hard work for me, prob is with those cannons it only takes the smallest deflection burst and Its goodnight sweetheart :eek:Quote:

dead band....yeuch.....none...but the filtering can be set to about 2 cos it helps you if you get the nervous twitchs ;)
what ya can TRY to do is ....
On the inputs for both ROLL and PITCH set the sliders to summit like...
original: 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100
try: 6 12 21 34 50 63 76 85 100 100
this way you get a gentle aiming adjustment....and a DEFINATE 100% in the extremes...but the middle movent is very sharp.
BUT......the best thing to do is practice on default..:(
I spent ages fiddling with it and eventually stopped blaming the tools and blamed myself :(
It turned out to be true
naa, there's an annoying amount of play with the stick in the middle where the spring doesn't seem to hold it rigid enough, resulting in the slightest wobble putting any aim right off :/
Maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into an X45 ;)
i know what u mean stoo. u spend ages lining the shot up and u need to raise the nose slightly and it jumps upwards from the smallest movement on the stick :( i just try and get closer :P altho that has lead me to collide afew times ;)

I tried fighting in the 190 against a Spit... and lost horribly.... however in the Spit, I whupped the same 190's ass. Reckon the Spit just suits my style of fighting.. I can't get the hang of BnZ at all :(

B.n.Z requires huge spatial awareness compared to T'n'B, you need to have good idea of not only exactly where the other guy is (especially as you can't see him) but also his energy state in comparison to yours.
Is he at the bottom of a dive preparing to slingshot back up to you ? Is he wallowing at the top of a climb ready to dive ? You need to be fuly aware of his energy state as he can so easily reverse the situation on you if you get it wrong.
It also requires good deflection shooting skill, 90% of boom and Zoom attacks are slashing attacks where you aren't parked comfortably on the other guy's dead six, at best he is going to be flashing across your gunsight requiring you to fire of a perfectly timed hail of bullets into his path.
It isn't easy, not by a long shot, but damn is it effective ;)
This is why the Fw190 kicked the cr@p out of the Spit in 41-42, and how the P-38 / Corsair beat the Zero in the Pacific.
Done well, the BoomZoomer will win every time, and there is simply no reply to it, but its admittedly damn hard to do on a 17" screen ;)
I can't B'n'Z to save my life, i much prefer the turny stuff which is why the spit suits me better.
