CoD5 Co Op is vastly more fun that SP

I played last night for 3 hours with Bishops Finger/SAOFG and it was awesome

Yeah, Nazi Zombies is the best really, but the actual Co Op game, playing through each level and competing on score, deaths, ressuss, head shots, hardest to kill bonus etc is a great great way to play.

This makes it better than CoD4 in a good way.

First posotive thing I have ever heard anyone say when the two are compared. I have always been a fan of the World War X games but I am looking forward to the new Wolfenstein more than anything

    Still COD4>COD:WaW.
Shame they didn't incorporate a similar thing in to COD 4.
Got any death cards yet Zak? Some of them are really good when used on competitive co-op.

TBH i'm finding the MP of WAW really enjoyable... much more than my (very brief) time on CoD4 MP.

Personally i think that the bolt-action and semi-auto rifles help slow the game down from what i found to be quite a run and gun CoD4... i mean it's still there in the smaller maps but in the larger ones you have to choose between long-mid range or mid-short range whereas i found that CoD4s weapons weren't differentiated as much since ultimately an assault rifle is still lethal at shortrange due to the automatic fire =/.

I'm not saying that CoD4 is bad, but i just feel that the maps seemed a little to small for differentiating between the SMGs and Assault rifles properly unlike BF2/2142 where they are.

Re: CoD5 Co Op is vastly more fun that SP

I agree on Map Size vdbswong, because these new ones seem huge at the moment,... but thats because I dont know them. CoD 4 felt huge for ther first few months.

And yes, CoD4 is still a better game, overall...

but I LOVE Co Op mode and one you've sussed the router ports, and worked out how to add friends and then to invite them to your game, it's a proper proper good way to play.

I enjoyed the crappy Japanese trench levels WAAAAY more is Co Op than on SP. I guess it shuld be obvious to me in the first place that multi play ANYTHING is ofren better, just because you share the experience, BUT this was actually better gaming too. It was so easy in some places on SP and so HARD in others.. and yet in Co Op we didn't get stuck, it was fast paced and tbh as much fun as waving a sh1tty stick

Re: CoD5 Co Op is vastly more fun that SP

Ive always found co op games to be more fun than SP, especially in gears of war and some of the RTS games Usually I dont play games for more than an hour to 2 hours at a time, but i could spend twice that playing co op.

Before purchasing this one..(cannot play PS3 version due to extreme controller cackhandedness!)..

are there many people playing this on PC multiplayer, either in co-op or competitively?

    Cheers, Roo

Re: CoD5 Co Op is vastly more fun that SP

Have played both CoD5 and 4 and prefer 4 by a smile, while I enjoyed the single player of CoD5 the multiplayer just wasn't there for me, granted I havent played co-op mode but I only played the CoD5 Beta with Multiplayer..it was ok at first, but didn't enjoy it half as much as I enjoy CoD4..maybe I should buy the game and give it a proper chance?

Only thing putting me off is having to go through ALL the single player again to pick up death cards and what not. Bearing in mind, when I played the beta, I did play it on its the hardest level it offers...Very annoying, yet satisfying...

Co-op is good, if you can find someone to play the whole thing with...
Unfortunately my co-op partner scanked me by selling the game before we completed it together
(just kidding moogle, don't get upset )
