CoD5 multiplayer is getting better for me :-)

I played today on a CROUCHING only server, and by and large, everyone did just that.

No running at all, no jumping except to mount walls, not even any standing unless to look over walls.
And it was awesome.

The game slowed down to a real tense battle.... sniping, camping, cunning use of flair grenades.... it was awesome. My sound card came into it's own today, and I heard loads of stuff that you never normally hear.

And it's then that I realised the sheer beauty of the levels in CoD5. I dont know the names of the maps yet, but the Castle one (Japanese castle) and the massive outdoor one in a ruined city square... awesome.

Camping was positively encouraged, and all the noob stuff like tubes and martyr and last stand were banned, and virtually everyone obeyed.

Anyone else played like this? Slowly, with high tension, listening to every move? It was awesome

Sadly on 360 this thing rarely happens, and the only time I have encountered that level of suspense is on small snipers only private matches with my mates. If you play on the public servers there are normally at least 4 people running around with MP40's and jugger. Kinda ruins a lot of the maps.

The maps in COD5 are just pure greatness. Just keep trying different servers, some of the clan servers are really good, no rushing, no junping, no air strikes or martyrdom, it really felt like a battle, and brougt back memories of early America's Army days during the games release time.

I still can't play MP most of the time because of my rubbish BB connection

Tho I did find a decent game of Far Cry MP in the early hours of this morning, which i found great fun.

I've gone back to Cod 4 and I'm enjoying it a lot more.

cod4 is better, the only reason to get cod5 is the maps etc are a bit fresher having not spent the last year playing them, also it is another sp game to play through.

If you prefer ww2 to modern warfare you may prefer cod5.

I have also discovered the MYT server. If 3PIR is full then MYT run the same ruleset

thats not true, actually. CoD4 is prolly better single player, but CoD5 prolly just about nudges it on Mutli Player (on the right servers) because you're also offered Co Op which is awesome with mates.

The vegetation on CoD5 is very good, and used quite heavily, and it makes the game very tense.

I suppose you can decide which one is better depending on what your playing it on, on the console i thought cod5 single player was better than 4 but nothing comes close to cod4's MP but saying that it needs to get an update with a few new maps, dont know if they can do that or not though. but from what i read if i was on the PC i would still be playing CoD2 over 4 and 5.
