Cos I'm only on a 9800XT at stock speeds, I'd have thought you'd easily get the same resutls as me with one plane in the air as per the screenies.

Its fine now I turned it down a touch, if everythings maxed out then it does stutter a bit, I'll have a poke about with it for the weekend altho I do need to rebuild my 2nd server b4 the weekend so we can have a dedicated IL2/CS/Whatever server....

Well I was running at everything maxed except ground detail which was one below highest but I still had 4aa, 2af 1024x768, 32bit and it was perfectly playable and smooth online, even with 5 or 6 planes on the screen and at low level so all the ground detail kicks in.

I'll go off and try a 16 v 16 Glad dogfight and see what happens...

You need Il2 forgotten Battles + IL2 Aces Expansion Pack, ots of places should be selling it as a bundle tbh.

i get all myself from play.com since delivery takes one day because they're based on the rock next to me and i've had _great_ service from them before, bar one.

Yup - I'm doing small 4 v 4 engagements and getting no slowdowns or jerkiness. I run only 2AA and nothing else mind, no point in sacrificing fps for tiny visual improvements

Well, 16v16 was a tad jerky right at the start, but after the textures were all in, it was pretty smooth... prolly around 25-30fps, felt a *touch* jerky but certainly playable
