Of course, on MY card, you can even make out the little dent where the firing pin hit them!

(this may, of course, be a complete lie....)

I just tried IL-2: FB last night on my system with full settings and... OMG!

Didn't realise my card would be capacle of displaying such beauty!! I got just as good quality as Deckard and Skii and all the others on my 9600XT! Well pleased with that. Need to make note of how to display FPS in the game, though it wasn't jerky at all.

Might be able to post some screenies, but would need to save to disk and bring to work.

Il2 is purty, i notice most sayings it "runs" smooth and most people idea of smooth gaming is 60 fps right? But with the likes of FB 25-30 Fps appears smooth because it is a slow paced game, i noticed the same thing with the new Splinter Cell demo, even though it only runs at 20 fps maxed out it still appears smooth because of the slow gameplay.....go play ut2k3 with 25 fps and your in a world of hurt.....

But talking of Fps i recently got my hands on LOMAC and the frame rate was attrocious on my 9800pro.....and then when the AI started having a party in campaign mode.....it was bacically a slide show. Any reccomendation on how to get higher fps in LOMAC?

You're graphics card's worse enemies for lomac:
    1. Heat blur ( )
    2. Water (medium should be alright)
    3. Mirrors (look nice, but lose em)
    4. Cockpit reflections.

With lo-mac, if you want to get the best of your graphics card, you gotta tweak it. experiment with the above, and see what changes.
