oh yeah..its day off time :)
Lucky git! :(
Mawfaw..
heh, first server we just took down a bf109, took 10 minutes, working his over as a team, killed by zak at 5K, each one of us being bait to allow us to overcome his Height and E advantage, and once he missed out on me for the third time, that was goodnight, Zak came in guns blazing, perfect wing kill and game over MR german ;)
Very very nice, and made it back to base No problems :)
TiG
What were you flying?
Aeroplanes I'd imagine Al...
I was in Lagg3 1943
we're orf again now.... :)
tally ho chaps
Clipped wing VB spitfire
TiG
Spits at a guess
You pair still flying now?? MA_Luke fancies some Zak/TiG dogfightage ;)
We had probably just finished then, destroyed the russian equaliviant of the turpitz, and killed a few people in dogfight. Damn i love the P38J
TiG
what the TiGster fails to mention is the one on one hardcore action :)
Does Zak know how to choose a bad fight or what:(
TiG...LA7
Zak...FW 190 D summit......
he smoked me on the first pass, and being in that bloody plane was higher than me already.. :( and then we went at it (full real) for over 20 minutes......
he ran outta fuel :).........I was quite predictable in my climbs and dives, and took him very near the floor.....he knew where I was going at every single moment that he was tailing me.....I lost him (visibility wise) a few times.....and as we both climbed and eventually spooted each other again, up went the adrenhaline again :)
I managed to totally avoid all turning....and just dived.....and climbed....and over onto the canopy ....and then fall again......but god...it was hard....I never once got my guns to bear on him. Talk about wrong plane :( My 45 degree climb and fall at a funny stall kinda angle only lost him once....and never did I get him anywhere NEAR my sight....always too acute an angle ....and he passed.
Then...after he was outta fuel ;) .....we swapped :)
OK he nuked that FW engine in less than 5 minutes and it was game over......
but it was good stuff :) for someone who never flies on line.....he did as well as ever :)
And the BF109 will not mess with a Marlin pair again......Spitfire by TiG and Lagg3 by Zak.....in the same room for comms. Wasn't really fair on the poor sod....he started about 2000 higher....and then lost it
Should have taked the fight high Zak, a 190D should smoke an LA7 at medium to high altitude, and should be able to well out-dive him too.
At medium-low altitude 2 very evenly matched planes.
I couldnt get it to climb.......I tried a 250 airpseed like a Lagg.....engine maxed and W engaged....it was no where near the La7's match for climb speed.....I tried a gentle climbing turn...and he just got closer and closer....
I tried a steeper angle....fatal choice...wing stall, which in hind site saved me from a bullet in the head I guess.....
It musthave been cos he hit the engine on the first pass, cos it was notclimbing in the way Ihad hoped....
I fully intended to out energy...from the off,....from take off....but when we meyt he was already way over my e levels.
That LA7 is a fine engine....there can be no doubt. But TiG has a much steadier hand on shooting than me :(
