Was very good from what I remember, although I was only about 12-13 when I saw it and obsessed with war at the time.
Assembly (Ji jie hao). It's Chinese, but with just as much gravity as Saving Private Ryan, gritty, brutal, brilliant.
and I suppose Apocalypse Now, just classic.
