    pah.. I couldn't remove Saving Ryans Privates could I? It's a war film and its a good one too.

    Anyway, the list served its purpose to start with, I think the second thing of voting fell on it's arse because people's tastes vary soooo much.

    At least we have a cracking list of films now

    If you look on the list there's some dodgy films, some overlooked classics, but there's still some real gems on there.

    Full Metal Jacket is not a proper war film? It may not have the impact of Hamburger Hill and lack the pyrotechnics of Platoon, but, it does offer the truest account of being a Marine during the Vietnam War.
