    Arma 2

I really want this, but, like OF(1), will I get a playable version or a non-working beta? If so, would you wait for a couple of patches before buying this?
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...

/points at the Wargames sub forum.

For what it's worth, it's had a couple of patches already and it's still got a few glitches. However, all said it's not *that* bad when you consider the scale of the project.

There are a fair few glitches though. Menu's not showing, for getting equipment and getting into boats etc for one. And some horrific lag sometimes online. De syncing ... but it's a work of lurve... it IS lovely!

Do you think this game is going to get a large fanbase? I'm interested by it but it looks incredibly complicated, and if I'm forced to play with the same 5 other people every time it could get boring very fast.

Games like this get a good fanbase that tends to stay a long time. You'll get a good MP variaty probably up untill ArmA 3 is released.

It will have a solid loyal fanbase, but not huge. It's not arcadey enough for the run-and-gun masses. More of a thinking-man's shooter.

You actually will want to play with the same people so you can work as a squad. Much more fun than just going Rambo. But there will be plenty of different people to kill for the life of the game.

    Re: Arma 2

yea defo, i play with the OCUK lads and very familiar with those guys now and its dead fun. we work well as a team and communicate like no other fps game out their. This game gets more fun the more you communicate and work with others online.

this is definetly a game you need to use your brain cells a bit

Not had chance to try 1.03 yet but it's on my machine. Looking forward to the analogue throttle, but I've read on the BIS forums that some people are still having issues with it...
