    Aion

Anyone got into the Beta or have preordered to get beta keys, I got into CB3 and was looking forward to CB4 which was on 17 -20 but have found out that the Beta key I got, which I got through Fileplanet, is no longer valid.
Turns out the Fileplanet keys were for CB3 only, except there was no mention of this anywhere, neither of the emails I got from Fileplanet or NCsoft mention it

Still was nice looking game, reminds me of GuildWars.

A friend of mine going on about this. I just sat through this "un-biased" review which gives a good overview on it..........
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtOvp...648&feature=iv (worth watching in HD)

Overall looks really interesting, not sure i would have time to get into a mmo's but if i was would take a look.

Like the part at 5:00mins where it shows you can dye your gear/customisation etc, sure many people will like that rather than the garish colour combos other mmo's put you in (like the orc "clown" outfit show) lol

Also the "wolverine" character at end someone made.

    Re: Aion

I pre-ordered through Steam to check out the beta, and I was very impressed with the character creation and game engine in general.

The game plays very smoothly, especially taking into account the beta servers are in the US so the latency must be relatively high (SWG played on a US server was a horribly laggy experience).

So far I've just got to level 8, I don't like playing betas to experience the content, just to see if I can get a feel if I would like the game - I am definitely going to play this at launch.

There are some really nice touches like the quest tracking - pinning newly accepted quests to the list is intuitive, and the log has clickable links for the givers and objectives, and even a "Locate" button to bring up the map and show you where to go (I hated the "who the hell gave me this quest" or "where are these mobs I need to kill" moments from WoW).

The only niggles I had are no option to invert mouse (I have always used "pilot style" up & down movement, I might have to actually change my playstyle), and no timestamps on the chat log entries.
~ I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. ~
