I think Lowe said Assualt Rifles were 300m and Snipers were 600m zero... but I'll await his confirmation (and he can edit this to sort it's accuracy)

yeah, I'm doing that quite naturally.. but it's the differing zero's thats interesting![]()

Oh and another thing - when you hold the right mouse button for the extra zoom when using scopes, be careful how long you hold it for.
Why?
It forces your bloke to hold his breath. Hold if for too long and your accuracy will be shot when you release, and also you won't be able to run flat out until you get your breath back! You can use the normal numpad +/- keys to get the extra zoom when scoped without holding your breath.
I know this is a bit naughty, but I've hotlinked to a thread in the BIS forums ranging:
AK PSO

Depends what you hated about it. People misunderstood ArmA and expected a lot more. You have to be introduced to it properly so you can appreciate what you're getting in to.
But, in basic terms it's the same game engine just with extra eye candy.

Lol, i started playing this game yesterday on steam and i was like, UHhh 0.o?
Didn't have a clue what to do or the controls etc then i started to find things out and i'm a little better today but i still kinda suck![]()
Got it a little while ago and I'm doing the single player.
It's buggy as hell - few examples in 1st to fight I lazered all the targets and the mission wouldn't move on. Restart from the save, do exactly the same thing, task accomplished. Manhatten - the UAV just crashed out of the sky as I drove up the hill. The girl wouldn't get in any vehicals and teammate 2 got stuck in a building - had to leave him there for the rest of the mission. Bitter chill - you can't control your squad during radio chat, so while I'm making my mind up as to which campaign fork to follow, what I really need to be doing is telling my squad to be stealthy, get down and to hold fire. What actually happens is that if I don't fire off all of those commands within about 5 seconds the radio chat starts, I lose the ability to control them 1/2 way thru and they open fire with their rifles at the patrolling tanks... Nice one. Broken save-games, kamikaze chopper pilots, the resistance base just watching me take it out man by man as I had the cunning plan to attack it in an abandoned resistance BMP... Buggy as hell, but very good fun if you get a clean run at a mission. I loved Manhatten - you justa get dropped off on a hill and what you do from then on is entirely up to you.
When I get my copy of win 7 going I'll be able to get some internet on my ArmaII machine and get online - can't wait to join in some huge co-op games!
