    hmm looks good.

    Catching 20mins on my lunch

Although not a fan of that arcade mode.... unlimited ammo etc. was never the greatest part of the games.

This is my type of game and I love the dog fight games. However, since playing the demo, it doesn't feel right in the control of the planes. I will pick this up but probably a month or two down the line when its cheaper for the 360

It's still streaming, showing simulator mode and it looks a handful at best xD

Re: IL2 fans in here NOW!!

Well cheers for heads up Nick.

Its pretty but tbh Im struggling to see how it has improved gameplay wise over the orginal series, also no mention of PC so that rules me out anyway as Im not a console gamer. Simulation mode looks like the real deal IL2 wise, and the hanger / encyclopedia is a nice touch. But from what ive seen so far they have taken a supurb game, stuck it on console and turned it into an arcade shoot em up....nothing wrong with that if thats your thing but I wont be rushing out to buy a console to play it....If it comes out on PC then Ill rethink then.

I cant see hardcore full real IL2ers finding anything new in this.

Don't think this is seeing a PC release, at the end he said it was out on the 360, ps3, DS and Wii

I could be tempted by the DS version over the 360 so I can get a bit of arcade dog fighting on the go

Re: IL2 fans in here NOW!!

The end. They said they were going to put the preview up as a download.

The 360 demo is already out.

PS3 demo will be out on the 20th Aug.

You have to play Arcade -> Realistic to get to sim settings.

It looked a bit wrong inside the cockpit thought. Very zoomed out but I'm not sure if that was just the stream.

Also I've never been a fan of control pads for fine accurate movements. It showed when he was playing especially in the sim mode how hard it was to line up a target.

    Edit:

    I agree with Dak.

Re: IL2 fans in here NOW!!

The 360 demo does seem a tad arcady, but after unlocking sim mode (which you have to do EVERY time you play the demo) the full sim aspect is there to sample.

This is the best preview I've seen so far.

I'm not jumping up and down with excitement yet, yes this will be a blast online and I can see it working very well on XBL, however nowhere in any reviews or previews have we seen any footage or screenshots of German cockpits, pretty concerning for those of us (ahem) partial to taking a 190for a spin, and currently a big bone of contention in the developer forums.

We'll see, it is aiming to keep the arcaders and the sim-heads happy, no mean feat.

Whole other game from Il2 comming out on PC only, and after playing the demo where i shot down about 20 bombers in about 5 mins, i figure i'll wait for that.
Not for me at all, tempted to reinstall the original though and play that again.
