    Will WoW Work?

    Hi all,

I have touched on this on another thread on the General Discussion board but i thought you guys here might be able to assist with the final detail.

I am looking to buy a cheat laptop for work but also wanted it to run WoW - i think i have decided on what i want but wanted to check ... Will WoW work on THIS?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Re: Will WoW Work?

It will run it but depending on where you go and what video settings you have chosen, your experience will vary.

WoW has one of the best visuals:hardware ratios of any games I have played due to their low poly counts and very clever use of textures.....but even that has is limits.

3GB RAM and an 8200M chip should give a pretty decent playing experience.

    Re: Will WoW Work?

Thats great thanks for the info.

I'd only play on lowest settings to do a bit of grinding maybe not expecting 100% performance or anything

    Thanks again.

    Re: Will WoW Work?

Yeah WoW will run on that no problem.

My mate runs wow on a Geforce 5950FX and a Pentium 4 3.4ghz with 1 gig of ram.

Blizzard would make WoW run on a toaster if they could! Anything for the money!

    Re: Will WoW Work?

Yup it should work, the game is over 5 years old. Just tuned down all the settings and it should work peachy. I used to run it on a P4 2.8GHz machine. Wasn't too bad.

    Re: Will WoW Work?

It will most likely work on the lowest settings, so you should be ok
