Hexus / iGi ArmA 2 night #5

Hi all, continuing with our action packed evenings we bring you a slight change of pace for the 10th of Sept. This week we'll be playing a co-op mission called 'Operation Medea ' made by iGi's own Mile5.

So - here's the usual:

Briefing

Operation Medea:

Russian forces have pushed North, without meeting any resistance and have cut off our supply lines. Currently only airdropped supplies are keeping the airport we've been assigned to protect supplied.

CDF forces are eager to stand along side us and wish to help strike back, so long as they are assured their advance will not be observed by enemy reconnaissance.

Russian supplies are being brought in at the port of Berezino, and our intelligence reports suggest it might be worth capturing to prevent further re-armament. It's time to for us to counter attack, so it's down to us to fire the opening shots in what hopefully will remain a mere skirmish rather than a fully blown war!

I've got a couple of things to do late Thursday afternoon, so I will try to get there once those are out of the way. Don't want to commit as I suspect it's fairly likely that something will stop me from turning up, but if I get the chance I'll be there.

Do you just have the basic Windows Firewall? Obv you have added ArmA as an exception?

The game is all uptodate? Have you changed any config files?

Yep ARMA is on the exception list, game's up to date, no I've not changed any confg files.

I should say it worked fine with 1.2 with all my current gear and settings.

Windows 7 RC, Steam version, router is a DLink DIR-655, modem is a DSL-320B.

How strange, right.

There are beta patches out, that may fix this issue, I am unsure though.

First, download this: ftp://downloads.bistudio.com/arma2.c...uild_59008.zip

Install it as usual, once installed, go to the games directory and open the 'beta' folder, in there is a shortcut 'Launch Arma2 Beta Patch', just use that to launch the game, see if that fix's your problem.

Yeah it is a bit on the quiet side, still we should have enough for a decent co-op game. See you ina bit lads
