    VEF as it should be

Just flown an absolute corker.... Il-2's escorted by La-5's against a gaggle of 109's.....

attacking a train station so..... CASSETTES

I'm in the third IL2.. we fly a dogleg course to the target so we're nicely lined up.. a lone 109 comes down for a pop at BOA_Kamikazee... he has a cabby with the rear gun... 109 breaks off come over to me to shake hands... I give him the good news with the rear gun and he bugs out - seeing the other IL-2 following me...

We ge to the target.. kami and Luke wade in with their cassettes... Kami's bombs give Luke's IL-2 a beating... and they both miss the train.

My turn.. I come steaming in from 600m.. release at 150 and pull up VERY sharply... have a look out the back... train's gone I have a run at an AAA gun and race off south to help Kami out with a convoy.

We take turns in strafing the unfortunate sods sitting in their trucks while AA trucks batter away at us - Kami get one just as I arrive on the scene but cannot silence the second. The gun doesn't shout for long as I unleash death from my wings.. taking the 2 trucks behind it out as well. between us we mince the rest of the convoy and when there's nothing left we head home.

Only home, being where it is is suicide to try and reach - we would have to fly past 3 concentrations of flak and small calibre AA fire.. Not good. So we head south to Gelendzhik and the airfield there. Luke's managed to get back, despite having his rudder and elevators shot off - he makes a heroic crash landing and walks away.... Then I land.. possibly hte smoothest landing EVER with Kami following close on my heels...

    My score for the mission?

    9 railroad cars

    5 trucks

    1 smart-arse landing

    80 points

Me, Kami and Cesium just topped that one
Attacking Mingrelskaya and tanks against 6 109's intercepting. We reach the target with our AJ-2's loaded up and theres 3 groups of 4 tanks. Kami takes care of the bunch on the right, me the middle, and Ces the left. Kami busts up 2 outta the 4; Me likewise. Cesium hits 1 but then gets bounced by a 109. He managed to shake him off but then bent his prop on a strafing run - he did the only thing he could, ditched. I then had company in the way of the same 109, but Kami sent the AI's to distract him while we destroyed the remaining armors.

He lasted quite a while, I'd got 4 tanks in total before he became toast. We spotted a convoy of vehicles to the south which were asking for trouble - I duly obliged Got hit by the flak vehicle and lost most of my left wing, so went off home.

Meanwhile, in Kami-Land (), there was a little fly buzzing around - an ME-109. His gunner soon sorted him out, and it was bye bye-wing-of-109

I managed another Luke prop-bending landings and we both got a haul of points - 119 for me, 155 for Kami
