Hi,
Can anyone tell me who to make the prop pitch in the 109 manual? I don't like having it automated (don't trust it).

'Make mine a Spitfire, Landlord!'
I assign Prop Pitch adjustment to Control P.....so I dont hit it by accident...and that then turns it back to Auto....
SKii cant reply cos he's on his way here to see meor this would already be answered I'm sure.
Look in the Prop Pitch section of the controls menu.....

Hehe
Just be careful using prop pitch in the 109, its VERY sensitive - ie leave it on 90% and dive, you WILL blow your engine in a matter of seconds.
Despite that its also more effective in the 109s, by using manual p-p you can out accelerate anyone, however you must lower that pitch when you hear your revs rise too high.
You have been warned![]()
Yes, I've just been trying it outIt's very different to the prop pitch/throttle relationship in many of the VVS planes, and much more sensitive. I like it more to be honest - it gives you a lot of control. So long as you keep the RPM in the right band everything's fine. And all you really need to do is listen to the tone of the engine - it's easy to tell when it is over-revved - and think ahead a bit more than in some other planes.
This makes the 109 much more intersting to me than before. I used to find it kinda boring![]()

I find if easier thanb ever to fly now...Prop pitch included....
I got me a 350 points run last night on a dog fighht server.....Rias took the stick and I took the stick givers from behind !
However.....my 190 is still defeating me.....its just so......wigglycant hold her steady for a proper shot...all OVER the place...I MIGHT *gasp* have to re adjust the sliders in Il2 for a gentle mid zone cos its just too sensitive for this ham fisted pilot
