I suspect that just patching for dedicated servers would require a "LOT" of work. I honestly can't see this happening any time this century.

i'm sorry, but, 10/10? absolutely no chance! 8/10 at best! (9/10 for MP, 6/10 for SP)

Peterb, wth? all Madduck said was that rating was "bollocks", merely stating the truth IMO.
he didn't make it personal and didn't have a go at the op. so wth? (open discussion forum?)

He's not stating the truth, he's stating his opinion, just because many share that opinion does not make it the truth. If someone has a differing opinion they're entitled to voice it without being subject to rude and dismissive replys, if Madduck had taken the time to express why he thinks Jonessie's opinion is "bollocks" and had done it without being rude I'd have no problem with it as this is after all as you say an open discussion forum and that's why we're all here. He didn't though, he chose to be disrespectful and sarcastic, not only towards the OP but a Hexus moderator as well, behaviour for which we have very clear rules.

To be fair the OP is written in such a ridiculously simple and child like manner thatit is hardly befitting of anything more than a short dismissal.

You are perfectly correct in pointing out that this is hexus and not the IGN forums and as such posts like the OP's will be laughed at.

The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx

Chaps - each of us have a different level of abilities in written communication, and as such, will phrase things differently. Also, sometimes, we become big kids again when we get something we really enjoy - I can think of a few occasions I've been overly enthusiastic - Rai & Guy know of one big one they won't let me forget.

What I think is more interesting is, as Zak said, that the person took the time to tell us their feelings, however articulated, and should be seen as the start of a debate, and not to be simply dismissed with a single, arguably attacking, word.

Having said that, this isn't Question Time, and as such, I don't think everyone need resort to Saracen-esque replies

    Good thread this...

I think that everyone needs to remember that we have all different ages of people reading.

To be so disprespectful of someone who likes something and is kind enough to share it with us is quite rude. Had he been trolling this forum with rubbish for weeks I'd understand it.. but he hasn't.

Matty H... i'm shocked that you think we police this forum to much.... shocked.

i'm sorry, but you do. as soon as something happens there's normally about 3 or 4 mods straight there to start shouting at people, it only takes one mod to solve an issue. and then there's the Scan section, anyone says anything bad and BOOM it's gone. deleted. so no-one can actually see how bad they can be.

The Scan section is moderated by Scan - apart from occasionally deleting obvious Spam when we see it before Scan's moderators see it, we rarely do any moderation in there. There have been several threads created outside the Scan areas which have been critical of Scan, and provided they follow the general forum rules, they are allowed to run. Everyone has the right to express their view, but in an appropriate forum, and in an appropriate manner.

Fair enough, maybe the OP should send off to Newround for a News Hound pack.

You can't seriously expect half way intelligent people with any sembelance of critical faculties to read that OP and not snigger and dismiss it as the ravings of either a child or some wierd Infinity Ward fan boy.

It seems games claim a certain immunity from criticism that films and books don't. Afterall if someone had came on here making similar claims about some overhyped piece of Hollywood blockbuster crap like Transformers or Too Fast Too Furious they'd be laughed out of town, with no excuses made for their mental defieincies other than perhaps them being under 12.

Again another harsh and un-needed reply from someone who clearly claims to be intelligent..well done!

Ermm, yes they can. Surely someone who is "half way to intelligent" as you put it, would have the intelligence to read what the OP put, then think hmm maybe this person doesn't have such a great grasp on the English language as I do (I for one myself struggle, that doesnt mean I'm not intelligent) and then not reply in such a rude and degrading manner?

If you are going to reply to something atleast reply constructively and with some meaning to your post, rather than being rude, it's some of the posts in this thread that stop some people wanting to post on the forum's to be honest.

If a moderator post's something, that other's generally don't agree with, they dont get ripped into as if they didn't exist, they get treated with respect and courtesy, so why is it that this particular member has been treated so badly? After all, the moderator is just member of the forums like the rest of us, are they not? The only difference is they have been deemed to carry themselves in a way that Hexus believes premotes them and given the extra priveleges to help the forum's run smoothly and "usually" without trouble.

COD:MW has muzzle heat though you need the settings up higher than "Spectrum 48k" to see it - something I didn't appreciate when I only had a 7600GT.

SP mode never cut it with me on the first one and the stupid dumbing down of MP mode on this one is putting me off buying it - sadly the rest of my clan is harping on about how good it is and I can feel myself getting weaker by the day...
