An X-15 just after release. Shortly after, the rocket engine will engage accelerating at 4g. As the speed increases, the acceleration actually increases due to the increase in altitude.
The glide back would probably be a bit less interesting though.

TSR-2 , honestly would be the only choice , out running a lightning (whos at full power) with only 1 afterburner lit - totally awesome.

cancelled thanks to the USA and pressure to buy the F-111K , which was cancelled as well , and we got the tornado and the RAF used the bucceneer - totally disgusting - thanks to labour in 1964 , they killed the british aircraft industry.

However, Trig might have hit the jet-heart with the SR71 flight......

no no , TSR-2 was killed off by pressure to buy the F-111K , which was also cancelled - in the end the RAF got buccaneers in 1968 and tornado`s in 1979 for the strike role

amazing really , since the RAF actually rejected the bucc for strike work for TSR 10 years earlier - it went on to a 25 year and glorious RAF career.

I'm tempted to say a Spitfire Vc over Malta in the summer of 1942, the bombs kicking up a reddish-brown pall on Takili airfield, the bf109Fs and Macchi 202s circling above, artillery bursts appearing like mushrooms around them, the JU88's climbing out from their dives, and maybe only three other Spits climbing with me to face overwhelming odds, but I doubt I'd have lasted very long.

Sorry, boring as it may be....Buccaneer for me on a low, very low, level flight over hilly terrain and returning to a carrier. Nothing else would touch it IMHO.
