Gentlemen... that was class
Well done to you all, as every single person got at least one kill, and it was a pleasure to fly with you all

saofg.. not sure quite where the magic came from bud, but don'ty lose it cos I could do with some help online on the odd occasion. I'll try to find some servers with your new favourite, the Ki 84, cos it was a top score.
Flibb....excellent work my man.. and good to talk to you at last. I trust you enjoyed your game?
Lowe's work mate Nige was funny too... great energy fighter, and about as much use in a bi plane as I am in a P51... ie none. I think we'll keep him out of the turny burny stuff in future.
Trig and Geist.. a pleasure to fly with you both too
Yamangman... after a 4 hour game install it was good to die at your hands at last
Tumble..... Monsieur Tumble... great as ever to be nuked by your gunnery skillz in a multi gun bomber.. but at last I had some deflection practice on your slow old scissor action
S! Pilots... a pleasure. If we can just get Dak Hat and Skii up, the old school will be reformed I think!
Merry Christmas...
PS I told you I could host a full game AND comms if needed. The pings were superb last night.. with just 6 players, ping's were at 68-70 ish.

think thats what I was happiest about.
Have to say my gunnery is absolutely crap, and tactics non existent. Going to try and get some practice in, mainly basic flying and then learn how to engage the enemy followed by evasive manouvers, actually reverse those last two. Most of my time playing IL2 in the past was spent in multi engine bombers, didnt really do fighters, time I learnt.
I've always been a single seat guy, IL2 at a push but thats hardly a bomber, if you have to open bay doors n faff about then its not my thing, too many other keys to config...
to be fair a landing after a kill is prolly BETTER than the kill itself.. it makes it all... complete
I'm crap at fighting too.. mine is all learned.. I have NO native ability, it is simply hours of practice omnline, getting owned by 13 year olds...
But it's proof that determination works I guess...
but when I come up against a seasoned AND native flyer.. I get totally destroyed

Lagg3 35 series with 23 mm canons for the ultimate score though

Sounds like you had a blast!
I'll definately come to the next one whenever it is. Been playing a bit of IL2 today and I'm nowhere near as bad as I thought I'd be with nearly a year out!
I enjoyed the P11 fight too, perhaps airstarts at 2k would be better next time.
My P11 vs the Glads was fun, I put a few rounds into a few people but it made sod all difference
was a tribute to everyone that there were so few crashes... no bad take offs and little lawn darting... though a few Sea Ploughs occured
Merry Christmas pilots

Really enjoyed getting back in the air, though the lack of padlock rained on my bonfire a little lol. Still, the old hat switch was enough. The new stick is taking a little getting used to, it's not as smooth for the fine stuff as my old MS stick, however I'm sure with practice I'll get there. Landing gently is my main issue at the moment, I seem to be a little too rough!
I really enjoyed the P11 fight, I tried to pick my entry to the fight rather than wade in and I think it paid off. Getting into the scissors with Tumble was hilarious as we tried to out stall one another, absolutely top flying.
Looking forward to the next session lads, lets make it soon.
I drop into hyperlobby most nights but never anyone around :/
