    You did pretty good too.

Next thing to learn is the strengths/weaknesses of each plane, not each and every variant, but just the types in general. It means you'll be able to take on enemies on your own terms and get a few more kills in,

    Things learned tonight:

The IB2 (? - Jet thingy, not the 262) is *dodgy*, very quick, but you can't slow it down enouh to use it properly (or you end up at 8000 metres, then run out of fuel and nose-dive just in front of where Deckard parked his plane )

Yak 9 - quite nice, until Deckard helpfully removed one of the wings

Junkers thing.. Horrible and slow, but the rear gunner is good for making swiss cheese of people that get too close behind

Me262 - Dunno, the engine refused to start, but in solo I found you can do a neat trick of setting both engines alight by zero-ing the throttle then whacking it up to 100% - Makes a nice smoke trail

Other things; flat spins are pretty when you set the wingtip smoke.. Flying under a bomber and then pulling up so you pass about an inch in front of it's nose is funny

Ahem, cheers for the fun tonight guys

Hope the weather is completely still enough for everyone of their planes to fly.. totally awesome exhibition... and a nice dogleg airstrip for banking displays.

Only way they could beat the 190 was to clip the wings and wack a more powerful engine in the Spit, consequently the roll rate increased and she went faster.

Stoo mate - in the 262 - you got 2 engines... complex engine management and SEPARATE ENGINE START were on last night. Make sure you got a key bound to select each engine - up to 4 at the moment (TB3) but there is room for 8 curiously. You have to start each engine on it's own......

just had a look on the offcial IL2 website/forum and it appears that there a whole *pile* of eq coming in later versions, new planes, boats, racing pylons etc

But the forum.. *How* anal?? ROFL
Most of the time they're all arguing and quoting plane stats at each other from various obscure books LOL
