    What Joystick For IL2?

I might be considering buying IL2:Forgotton Battles, but I assume you need a joystick. What one would you recommend, and where from?

    Thanks

    Mike

X45 if your serious but 60 notes is a lot for a casual player when a good £25 to £30 will get you an excellent stick

I'll probably go for a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold, but I can't find anywhere that sells them. Anybody know a store? Or would the Evo or Platinum be better?

Platinum... I know I know.. but PC world had them on the shelf... and both times I've bought one, I just couldnt wait any longer.

I tried the EVO out for shape, but just couldnt get to grips with the throttle at the back of the stick.

Personal taste comes into it more here i think

Has anyone tried this stick ~

    http://europe.thrustmaster.com/produ...hp?p=T62&fam=6

I'm considering it as a replacement for the increasingly cranky Logitech Wingman. And I can't consider Saitek - I bought a Cyborg 3d force a while back and it completely screwed up my PC. Saitek - never again (their tech support are crap too). The one time I did get the stick working though, it was very nice.

Anyhoo - any opinions on this Top Gun AfterBurner Force Feedback Joystick nonsense. It looks cheap and nasty, but then so do most of them.

They had problems with the FF on that a while ago.
I don't know if they sorted it out with drivers etc.

There was a non FF version which was OK for about £35 but for the £60-70 of the FF i would say that the X45 is better (far more programming options).

Cocopops had one, had major issues at first iirc, think it was ok when sorted.
