It's getting that way myself, took them up on the 3 month sub for £19.99 and I will see after that, started running the end game instances now and they are nails at times. I still think this needs a massive injection of content to last for longer.

Held off on Rift for now, will wait for a free trial and see how I get on with it.

What payment options are available for this? I was hoping they'd have sorted a pre-pay card scheme out like WOW by now.

From memory you can use debit/credit, some pre paid credit cards from memory. The SoE site mentions pre paid cards but I am yet to see any for the EU etc.

Slight bump of an older thread but if anyone is still playing this then keep an eye out for your credit cards, spam etc, Sony announced their SoE service was also compromised when PSN was attacked.

It's a game that's amazing while levelling. Fast pace, fun and nice to have directional attacks etc. But once max level it turns into a game which gets boring fast. Great for bursts every now and then, but long term not my cup of tea.

Also add the fact the servers are dead, with SoE being down and might be for another month I think DCUO can say goodbye to what little loyal userbase it once had. I know I certainly won't be continuing and giving Sony any credit details again

Trying to figure out if this means existing customers only, or including previous customers (i.e. if you had an active subscription or not).

45 days free play time, won't say no to that to see if the game is any different from the 1st month.

Re: DC Universe - Anyone giving it a bash ?

    I should learn to read...

"Firstly, as a Station Account holder in good standing, you will receive 45 days of game time (30 days plus 1 day for each day of the outage) added to your Station Account. This game time applies to any game you have currently or [b]previously activated]/b] on your Station Account."

Looks like they are going to activate ANY game you previously had for 45 days. Gotta admit, that's at least a nice good will offer.

Double checked by logging into my Station account and both DCUO and SWG are active for 45 days.

Re: DC Universe - Anyone giving it a bash ?

Anyone still playing this? I've been waiting for it to drop in price before giving it a go and it's now half price (£14.99) on Steam for the weekend so am tempted to get it. However, I may be waiting a while before playing as it's taking forever for my new broadband to be installed (line faults ).

Re: DC Universe - Anyone giving it a bash ?

When Sony told me about the 45 days free play time, I downloaded it again as was getting bored of WoW. I logged in, the guild I was in for the first month had almost 100 people was dead and there was hardly anyone on the once busy server I was on. I logged off and uninstalled as it appears that none of the original problems had actually been addressed.

Nice idea, great levelling, terribad PvP and not much to do end game.

I have since been getting into Rift and loving it, far superior to DCUO and a nice change to WoW.
