So, GamersFirst are giving it another go.

Looks like they're doing a closed beta first, got an email inviting me to it this morning. Will be interesting to see what's changed and what happens to old accounts etc.

Also got the email this morning, signed up for the hell of it to see what its like now and if indeed they have fixed anything with the game. Half of me is intrigued as to how looks and plays like now, the other half of me is still expecting an empty MMO with the same 3 mission types as it had when it first launched.

I've also signed up, thought the email was a bit misleading as i thought it was acceptance into the closed Beta, will have to wait and see

Yeah signed up at the back end of January and I haven't heard anything since, so I guess they said February so it could be any time in the next few weeks.

Got mine last weekend, need to install it, will be going EU servers as from memory the servers aren't up all the time and cba with time zone changes. Fingers crossed I get it installed and tested this weekend, played it at a friends and must say its a massive improvement over the last release.

I remember a couple of my old friends playing this the first beta or may of been the alpha

So I've given it a go, Mehh

Don't know if I'm playing it wrong or what but I just cannot seem to hit for toffee and kept getting cut down, I've stuck at it for a bit enough to get a new gun and I still get cut down by people with the starting gun.
The only kills I get is when people are too busy shooting at others to let me empty two clips at them.

The cars are sort of nice, different vehicles handle in different ways, but the keyboard controls are way too sensitive so it's near impossible to drive like anything but a total loon.

I'm not going to stick with it.

EDIT: Oh yes and on my first new character, I so badly wanted out of the starting ugly clothes that I figured out how to change area went to the social area to get something a bit better, then discovered I couldn't get back because I've not finished the tutorial so I couldn't play with that character until I created another one and finished the tutorial.

I would hazard a guess that it's more than likely you are just coming up against a ridiculous amount of aimbotters, which GF claim they are doing something about, but APB has been plagued with them since the initial release.

I have learnt to stay well clear of this game. Once reason why I believe "play for free" (or "buy to win") is so crap. Aimbot and get caught? No worries, create a new free email address and get a new account, absolutely no accountability for your actions and almost impossible to stop.
