Spitfire FAO Luke
Re Spitfire
Ok chap differences in Spits
HF models are High Alt
LF Models Low Alt
Standard are all rounders
E Models come with 2 cannon at 20mm and 2 Browning 0.50s
A, B, 2 Cannon 4 Browing 303s
C as A & B or with 4 x 20mm Cannon
The othe differences are in Engines
I said in HL that the Spit with 0.50cals was awesome and a load of n00bs tried telling me the Spit was never fitted with 0.50s and it was :heckle:
-
uncle SPit comes calling then huh?
-
Rgr that - so if I'm looking for a turnfight at <2k, I should be taking off in the LF.
But, if I want a bit of BnZ action at 5-6k then I'm looking at the HF.
Howeverm if I wanted to have a turnfight, but be at a higher speed than my competitor, then I should take the standard Spit - as the LF will have a worse climb rate?
-
Whats the gen on the E's then Dak?
Had 4 spits vs 16 190D9's, the 44 and 45 models all AI set to vets, 3 spits got home and 4 190's.....
-
christ....
this morning before work I set up 1 vs 1
Zaky in his beloved Yak9 UT
AI set at vet in a G4
15 mniutes later....all outta ammo and no kill....
I am SH1TE :( at gunnery.....
BUT........he also ran outta ammo....we were both leaking fuel.....and I conked out first :(
1 vs 1....
and Trigs doing 4 vs 16 ;)
I still have miles to go
-
4vs16 throws u rite in at the deep end and teaches you not to go blind to whats going off around u, u'll get about 10-15 seconds to get and take your shot b4 someone drops on ur 6 and when its a 190 u dont want that to happen...
I only got 4 b4 I ran out of ammo n then lost the engine while I was tryin to get home n bellied it into a field...
