IL2 COMPARE!!!

Gives you graphs and data to compare each and every plane in IL2 - their rate of climb, rate of turn, best climb speed and other cool stuff. You ALL NEED this to know EXACTLY WHERE and HOW FAST you WANT, no NEED, to BE in a dogfight.

EG, heres the graphs for the Spit MkVb standard.

What we can see is that optimum climb speed is 220-225kmh, optimum turning speed w/o flaps is 260-280kmh and w/flaps its 210kmh.

Now the 109 G2 graphs are just shocking :eek: Can turn with everything, outclimbs everything, just about does everything... but we already knew that from those tracks ;)

And you know that ONE turn that Zak and Skii talk about with the FW?? Where it will out-turn pretty much everything for just the once??

It out-turns the Spit at 340kmh and above, and its optimum turn-speed is 360kmh :)

and when do you generally see a FW190 at below 360??, top of his climb back up to the heavens. Is it me or do the germans have vastly superior aircraft? :)

hehe try using one vs a spit then ;)

Not really superior, just different strengths.

The Spit will still out-climb the 190, and once the Spit has an initial altitude advantage in the merge, will have an easier time of it, but the 190 can dictate the dogfight, and run away without fear of the spit catching him.

don't forget the 190 only has the advantage of an INITIAL turn advantage, if you try a continuous turnfight the 190 will fall out the sky like a brick.

On its own the 190 is not unbeatable, in a pair or 'Rotte' it is ;)

Thing is the 190 will get away from a spit in dive but the spit will still do 690kph + so the wise spit pilot will level out at that speed and wait till the 190 pops back up ;)

Its the onlt time I've out turned the Luke monster......in my 190 :) and he was shocked to say the least...(thanks SKii) but its RUINS he energy level.....it bleeds out of the plane......you're left with nothing.....

IF you lot ever get against a GOOD 190 jocky you might be in fdor a shock....so long as that pilot is very competant with prop pitch and engine management....

he'll dive to about 750 then level off and while the speed cools his engine and his prop pitch is at about 70% he'll leave you for dead...for miles after mile.....until you give up....then a zoom climb in a very very mild turn........and IF he buzzes you .....doesnt shoot you.....buzzes you at the same speed on his return, you are in the cack :(

the draft from these Butcher Birds is nothing short of awesome :( It will literally knock an LA5 into a spin :(

Only met a few good pilots.....and they just hosed me before Iknew they were there...and they were gone again :(

Awesome plane in real life...cant find many bad words about them on my DVD collections...."easy to fly" and "a dream to fight in"......

its a real world problem..with 2d situational awareness on a 15" LCD screen, or a big wide world.......its a no hoper in this game. The canopy metal bars are a nightmare :(

And she takes HUNDREDS of hits before she brakes up.

UN OFFICIALLY it is my favourite plane of the game :(
