    Virtual Western Front

    S!

Flown 5 on the Normandy Map, a few observations etc for you.

Plane set is very good but P38 is thrown in as random so need to get to grips with this beaut of a plane, be very very careful when 190s about.

    P47s, Spits, P51

We are all used to them in DF servers but in VWF its a different ball game, there seem to be longer mission objectives so you are usually 6000 to 8500m when the action starts, the closing speeds are much quicker!!!! Which I suspect is why Ive been rammed once in 5 missions and clipped a 109 once through leaving it to late. Days of turn and burn are gone its BnZ time.

The map is blooming covered in trees and the runways are often to short to slow down before end so watch it when taxing in, P47s explode it appears when you nudge a tree with a wingtip. If in doubt of the airworthyness of plane bail.

Pilots Kills are very common, dont know why but ive twice been PKed and have twice achieved PKs. Maybe its more high calibre ammo spraying about and heaveier weapon load outs.

Also the report is missing kills I PKed a 190 yesterday and he hit the ground 2 mins later with a clear MA_Dak destroyed II/JG52 etc as witnessed by Luke.

On the whole its great if a touch laggy, and the P38s make a great addition if challanging"!!

    S!

Dont know what time im on but my vote goes for getting 7000m plus and scaring the be jesus outta the OKL, tell you what else shocks em, hit the dive brakes and drop combat flaps and the P38 wipes round in a turn quicker than they expect

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

Only ONE thing wrong with the 38 IMO... it's missing 2 engines...
