    and now depression set in...

cos after 4 VWF and 1 MIA and 2 KIA and 1 Bailed....

and starting with +70 and leaving at +4 I dont even wanna know what the last mission score was.....but Im guessing its a negative again....

    and you have to wonder.....why?

    Heart rate? through the roof
    Shakes? you bet....

Gutted.....? MUCHOS ANGER in my head.....

    turn fighting at 7000 metres....

diving and climbing.....consistently losing out to better pilots......109's and 190's alike.....Spitfires of such class and style, with muchos potential....and me stalling them in silly turns, stoopid mistakes....

I hate this feeling....its worse than gambling....its the old "just one more go" feeling....and yet.....you know its gonna get worse before it gets better...

Ramblings of a miffed (dead) pilot

I just got used to it, I had a string of 6 missions with either KIA or MIA in VEF, that *really* sucked, especially as 3 of them weren't anything to do with me..

in one moment I dived after a 109....had to pull out at 620.....and I am SUPPOSED to wait for him to pop up in front...

    yeah..like hell.....I cant even SEE him to wait for him.....so I climb....looking back over my shoulder......not a dicky bird....gentle turn.....there he is.....all over me....again....

and then I stallcos I am concentrating so damn hard on watching him.....I loose sight of my energy level....wing dips...

and out of the air we fall....takes over 1 000 metres to catch her......and he's just watching...

    just stoopid bad piloting.....angry

ah it happens.. an you'll get it back eventually...just gotta junk everything you learned about fighting in crappy old russian things and learn to fly the masterpiece that is the Spitfire... and stay out of trouble... it seems cowardly, but you should only pick a fight if you think you're gonna win, or one of your mates is getting a bashing.. even if you make the bugger break off before he finishes the job, but don't kill him, you've saved a pilot.. and that's all that counts. Get home. Stay safe. All there is to it. Don't go looking for trouble, cos you'll find it, and then you're toast.
