Gunnery Tips
Dont hit the ground.
More useful tips to follow.
Thats pretty useful, but no one has yet to post info on how to pull of the manouvers detailed here http://www.combataircraft.com/intel/ which is what newbies liek me need to learn. After all, if you acked me to enter a scissors manouver, i'd end up stalling crashing at low altitude.
Speed is Life. You keep your speed up you can get out of almost anything.

Some good links and BFM Here working through some of them myself...still can't hit anything though!![]()
Actually Tig speed + altitude will help you get out of most things.
try getting out of a spin at 100 Ft (splat) try it at 1000+ and you got a chance 1500+ and should be no problem.

a couple of the planes in il2 are pretty much unrecoverable if you get into a flat spin though, watch out when in an I-16 or I-153, if you're lucky and have enough altitude you *might* just scrape it out, otherwise just bail it..

Whats a good practice level (Single Player)?? One wiht clear skies preferably... and a smooth runway.... no enemies would help....
go into multiplayer, create a server pick a map and fly it. It won't be online, but you'll feel like you are ie take off and landing and stuff (if you've got it set in the difficulty options)
